Today, we're spotlighting: Access Storage

Access Storage’s roots in Midland stretch back decades. Long before the Access Storage name appeared on local signs, the company’s present-day locations were home to established storage businesses serving Midland, Penetanguishene and communities throughout North Simcoe. Many residents will remember familiar names such as Huronia Storage, Acorn Self Storage, Store-N-Save and Midland Self Storage.

The Balm Beach Road facility was formerly Huronia Storage, while the Prospect Boulevard location operated under the Acorn Self Storage and Store-N-Save names. The William Street facility was known locally as Midland Self Storage. Over time, these established operations became part of Access Storage, bringing several strands of Midland’s storage history together under one Canadian brand.

While the names and ownership have changed, the purpose of these facilities has remained remarkably consistent. They have provided dependable storage for local families, seasonal residents, tradespeople and businesses through moves, renovations and periods of growth. They have also served the region’s recreational community, helping customers store boats, trailers, ATVs, snowmobiles and seasonal equipment.

Today, Access Storage operates three locations in Midland, all serving customers across Midland, Penetanguishene and the surrounding area. The company combines the convenience and local knowledge of these longstanding facilities with the resources, technology and experience of one of Canada’s leading storage providers.
