BACKSTAGE PASS: Full Line Electronics

On the local retail scene, Full Line Electronics Inc. could be seen as a type of father figure.

While there are many newer retail outlets popping up across North Simcoe nowadays, Full Line Electronics first opened its doors in Midland in 1979, operating as the local Radio Shack dealer with a shop on King Street.

The business is owned and operated by the Clarke family of Midland and “we have had some interesting adventures,” Heather Clarke explains.

“We have also been known as The Source by Circuit City, The Source by Bell Electronics and finally, back to our roots as Full Line Electronics.”

The store that’s now nestled at the top of Yonge Street on County Road 93 also offers in store computer service for virus removal, data backup and transfer, hardware installation, network enhancements and onsite technical assistance.

Full Line Electronics strives to provide a positive customer experience with unparalleled customer service.

“We try to offer our community the best audio/video equipment for home automation, music throughout with hidden speakers and wireless control at a budget for the customer’s comfort,” Clarke says, adding they can also help office or commercial application since their store managers and installers can look at your floor plans and offer solutions.

“We love meeting our customers in the community, supporting our local hospital and kids events,” she says.

The store is a member of the PowerGroup, a purchasing group with over 300 stores. That allows them to offer Big Box store pricing with the benefit of independent customer service.

“We offer the best brands in electronics with full service and support,” Clarke says. “We offer in store sales and service, TV and audio, portable electronics, marine stereos, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, computers, media furniture and Telus/Koodo phones.”

But with the kind of longevity Full Line Electronics has enjoyed, it wouldn’t be possible without continued community support, according to Clarke.

She adds: “We owe a lot to our customers, they’ve been supporting us for more than 42 years.”
