“The Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce is red hot right now.

The Chamber has shot a total of 27 videos for my business, shared 48 of our posts. One of the videos was a cooking series staring our Executive Chef Sarah that was completely Cathys' idea. The Chamber hosted multiple events that I found useful including a marketing campaign right before Christmas and a talk hosted by Social Media Influencers and how to attract them to our business. Not stopping there, she pulled together other Chamber Members and sold bus tour packages that showcased our wonderful region and drove customers to our restaurant Mad Cravings.

We operate Captain Roberts Table at Discovery Harbour in part because of the Chamber of Commerce. I first heard about the opportunity through a Chamber Facebook post, and after some encouragement from Cathy, submitted and won the bid to operate the restaurant.

During the pandemic, the Chamber stepped up its social media presence and went to bat for us and our neighbours downtown. They compiled lists of members that were still open and offering curbside. The posts were extremely popular. Getting that word out was crucial and they were on it first.

I was so impressed with the progress of the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce in the last 3 years that I requested to join the Board of Directors. After all, who wouldn't want to be on a winning team? The Chamber of Commerce is a major key to our business success.
