About the Instructors:
In 2020 Hunter Corbiere and Jennifer Brunelle started Noopimiing Creations, and have been active members of the local artisan community for over 15 years at powwows and craft shows. Now they own and operate a storefront in the Midland Cultural Centre. The word Noopimiing means ‘in the bush’ where a lot of our materials, mediums and influences come from. The land has so much to offer, whether it’s the leather that comes from the moose, the colours of the waters or the sky, or the changing of the seasons. Hunter and Jen are both proud Anishinaabekwes’ and put love and creativity in everything they make, and have a passion in teaching others traditional crafting skills and leather work. Chi-Miigwetch!
