Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, a division of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport, is offering FREE ADMISSION from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 in honour of the coronation of King Charles III.
This provincial initiative offers Ontarians the opportunity to visit unique cultural attractions.
Here’s what you can expect at the historic mission on coronation day:
• Meet Historic Livestock: 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• Canoe Making Demonstrations:11 a.m. 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
• Legends in the Longhouse: noon and 3 p.m.
• Indigenous Games: 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
• One-hour Site Tours: 10:30 a.m. noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.
• Cornbread and Tea Tasting: all day in the cookhouse
• Name our piglets: all visitors will have an opportunity to submit possible name for our two new piglets.
May 6 also happens to mark the beginning of Sainte-Marie’s summer season! Starting next Saturday, the historic mission will be open to the general public seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
