Canada’s first lady of musical theatre, Louise Pitre, sits down with host Fred Hacker on A Day in the Life – Conversations with Leaders and Legends. Bilingual and born in Ontario, Louise was nominated for a Tony for her Broadway role in the smash hit Mamma Mia! She is also famous for playing Fantine in Les Misérables and the title character in Edith Piaf. Louise was part of the cast of the musical Kristina, by ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, which performed at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Her small screen appearances include MVP, Flashpoint and the CBC biopic Céline, in which she played Céline Dion’s mother.
