Friendly and knowledgeable staff coupled with sound business acumen have been essential components of Todd Lalonde and his Desjardins Insurance team’s success.
“We have been in business for 33 years,” explains Lalonde, principal of Todd Lalonde Insurance Agency Ltd.
“Our team is friendly and knowledgeable about the many products we offer. We care about our clients, and we appreciate them.”
Lalonde started in the industry after being recruited to open the business in Midland.
“It was a two-year successful apprenticeship before becoming an owner,” he explains.
“It has been a great career in my hometown and I owe the biggest thank you to my team with many more years ahead…our clients are awesome.”
The business has grown steadily since those early days with the agency now offering many different types of insurance and financial products.
“We offer automobile insurance, recreational vehicles, motorhomes and motorcycles,” Lalonde points out.
“We also offer property insurance for your home/tenant (needs), mobile homes, condos and boat insurance.”
For their commercial/business clients, Lalonde and his team help with commercial building insurance as well as insurance for contractors.
“Whatever your insurance needs are, we have you covered,” he says. “In the financial products sector, we offer life insurance, critical illness, investments, RRSPS and RESPS.
“We can even help with vehicle financing. All of this from our agency.”
And while they’re based at 547 Bay Street in Midland, they are known as “servicing the north” in communities such as Parry Sound, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie.
“Our agency has grown every single year,” Lalonde says. “We purchased a building, renovated and moved in the spring of 2010.”
But Lalonde says it’s also important to give back to the community.
We are active community members and proud supporters of local organizations, including the YMCA, Georgian Bay General Hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Simcoe, the Salvation Army’s Adopt-a-Family Christmas program and various sports teams.
He adds: “We have been sponsoring many organizations and groups for 33 years.”
