If you’re looking for a social leg up, there’s a local business that can help you with that.

With offices in Midland and Barrie, Assisting You Social offers a wide range of services to help with digital marketing strategy and content while delivering results to businesses, non-profits and charities.

“We were founded in 2013 by my sister Barbara Lowe,” explains Jim Lowe, who is Barbara’s brother.

“In 2015, I entered into a partnership with Barbara and brought the brand to Barrie.

“At the time, we were both working out of home offices.  We’ve had exponential growth over the past six years.”

The company helps business owners reach their target market at the very moment they have something important to convey. That helps out a great deal because they’re connecting with their clients’ customers when they need it most; now.

Besides the two Simcoe County locations, they also now ha

ve a sales office and Vancouver and a staff of six.

“In 2020, we were nominated for Small Business of the Year in both the Southern Georgian Bay and Barrie Chamber of Commerce Business Awards,” Lowe says.

The company also helps bridge the gaps between small business and social media, according to Lowe.

Oftentimes, marketing firms cater to big businesses who need a complete, expensive package with all the bells and whistles. Small businesses don’t benefit from a huge investment like that.

This leaves locally owned mom and pop shops struggling to connect with customers in an ever-changing digital world.

Assisting You Social takes the stress out of social media by taking care of it all for their clients.

“We’ll create your accounts with beautiful graphics, grow your fan base, post status updates, answer general questions on your pages, inform you when you need to personally address something, and respond to comments and reviews.

“This strategy earns trust from your fans, helps you be seen as an authority in your field and ultimately results in more sales, customers or clients.”

But while their business acumen is front and centre, what many people might not know about Assisting You Social is their collective passion for helping the community.

“We’ve helped charities and non-profits raise over $1 million during COVID helping them market online lotteries, auctions and other fundraisers,” Lowe says.

“We take great pride in being part of the Southern Georgian Bay community. Our focus is local and our success is local.”
