As part of its Small Manufacturers Regional initiative, the Ministry of Labour (MOL) will be conducting random proactive workplace inspections at small manufacturing firms throughout Southwestern Ontario in the coming months. The initiative will focus on the internal responsibility system, machine guarding and lockout, worker awareness training, and the role of a supervisor.
Now the (MOL) and Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) are joining forces to assist small manufacturing firms (employing 50 or fewer persons) in achieving compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations.
They are hosting a live webinar to help small manufacturing businesses understand the focus of this initiative, recognize major risks and prepare for an MOL workplace inspection.
We are pleased to share the link for registration to the complimentary awareness webinar being hosted by Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) on December 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Space is limited so we encourage you to register early so you don’t miss out.
