A Delicious Evening of Theatre and Murder Coming to Huronia Museum

Huronia Museum’s upcoming murder mystery evening features original production by local playwright.

Midland ON, September 19, 2016:  Will it be Miss Scarlett in the longhouse or Col. Mustard in the art gallery? You can find out ‘whodunnit’ at Huronia Museum’s upcoming murder mystery dinner on October 15th.  The evening features an original work by Midland playwright Brendan Main, who has written the murder mystery specifically for the event.

“The museum is a fantastic location, and we wrote the mystery with it in mind. This isn’t like dinner theatre, where people sit down and see a show. Instead, the mystery plays out through the evening all around them, in different places at different times. Several things are happening at once. No two people will see the same events..” – Brendan Main

Guests will have the opportunity to nosh on several courses while they wander the museum, sleuthing out the solution to the murder. Local actors portraying dinner guests will be mingling and dropping clues for curious attendees.

“We’re doing something a bit unconventional here; actors will be performing scenes simultaneously in multiple rooms, which means our guests will have to fill in the blanks and make their best guess with the information they have. It’s definitely a different approach to theatre, but we think that attendees will love being active participants in the production.” – Nahanni Born

Murder Mystery at the Museum takes place at Huronia Museum, Oct 15th at 7 pm. Tickets are $50    each and include catered food by ELM Catering, dessert and the show. Cash bar will be available.
